WHAT WE DO
We recognize that the strength and success of the program relies on its mentors and facilitators. College students are required to apply for the Outreach Program and complete all the necessary training prior to working with Youth. The internship program allows students to seek credit and gain reliable work experience.
The 12 week after-school program is facilitated by trained college women who serve as mentors while conducting interactive workshops with at-promise middle/high school girls.
Our programs successfully alter the social norms of both
our college mentors and facilitators, as well as our at-promise girls. We facilitate this through a curriculum that has been proven to incite meaningful discussion increased retention, and equip adolescent girls with the tools needed to set and achieve their long and short-term goals.
Outreach Program participants will have the ability to establish concrete goals, build self-esteem, and positive decision-making skills.
